Understanding Autism and ADHD Together

My Approach

At My Autism and I, my approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and lived experience. As someone with both autism and ADHD, I truly understand the unique challenges faced by girls and young women with these diagnoses. I bring over 20 years of personal insight and three years of professional training in mental health to each session, ensuring a supportive and effective experience.

For my younger clients, I’m like a big sister—someone who genuinely understands what you’re going through and is here to listen and support you. For older clients, I take more of a friendly approach, providing someone to talk to who really gets the unique experiences of living with autism and ADHD. In our one-to-one sessions, I create a safe and comfortable space where you can openly explore your strengths and tackle any challenges. My goal is to help you build confidence, resilience, and self-acceptance as you navigate life with neurodiversity.

For parents, I can offer a valuable perspective as someone with a similar brain to your daughters. My own experience with an AuDHD mind allows me to provide unique insights into how they may view and experience the world. I can help you understand their needs and thought processes, and we can work together on strategies that promote understanding and connection within your family.

Through this approach, I aim to support both my clients and their families in a way that’s respectful, compassionate, and truly aligned with their individual needs.

"Being autistic or having ADHD isn't a limitation—it's a unique way of experiencing and contributing to the world. Embrace your journey, and shine in your own brilliant way."
