Here’s how you can help manage hyperfocus:
1. Set Timers: Use visual or auditory timers to create boundaries around activities that tend to absorb attention. This can help break the focus and serve as a reminder to shift to other tasks.
2. Create a Prioritised Task List: Help your daughter develop a checklist or schedule that highlights important tasks for the day. This can serve as a gentle reminder of what still needs attention, preventing less important tasks from taking over.
3. Take Regular Breaks: Encourage breaks, especially during activities where hyperfocus is likely. This can help your daughter reflect on whether she’s staying on track with her day, while also avoiding burnout.
